Summary Movie

I wanted to make one of these for our last trip, but I can’t put movies on youtube that are over fifteen minutes.  That one from our last trip happened to be twenty minutes. :-)

This one, however, is only a little over five minutes.  Hope you all enjoy!

Camel Rides :)

Okay, so it’s not going to be all about camel rides.  The first picture is of me and Suzanna, one of the grounds workers.  She and I were busy almost all day pulling up annuals before it frosts.  Lots of dirt and fun. :)

Laurel and I visited the petting zoo.  Hence the camel rides.  Perk of being a volunteer: one gets free camel rides. :)   Totally worth volunteering here.  Although I will admit, my horse is a little more exciting. :)   My opinion.  Anyway, here are the camel pictures.

Oops, I blinked in that one.  Oh, well.:)

This last week, everyone has been thanking us for the work we’ve been doing during the time we’ve been here.

For me personally, this verse is applicable.

“So you too, when you have done everything you were commanded to do, should say,’ We are slaves undeserving of special praise; we have only done what was our duty.’”  Luke 17:10

In coming here to work with and serve other believers, we have only done what God commands us to do.  And it is wonderful!

Dr. Menton, Biology, and Bookstore

I worked in the bookstore today.  They are receiving orders this whole week, so I’m busy pricing things and facing just about everything in the store.

Noren has worked the last two days in the zoo in the mornings and gardens the rest of the day.

This afternoon, we went to one of Dr. Menton’s workshops.  So awesome!  Here are some of his concluding verses:

Luke 1:37; “For with God nothing will be impossible.”

Hebrews 3:4; “For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.”

Proverbs 20:12; “The hearing ear and the seeing eye, The LORD has made them both.”

Psalm 94:9; “He who planted the ear, shall He not hear?  He who formed the eye, shall He not see?”

Snakes Alive, Again

Yes, you’ve seen pictures similar to these. :)   We went again early this afternoon.  As you can see from the photos I was able to “volunteer” and help haul around a few snakes.   Then all three of us were able to have our pictures taken with Daisy.  Chiquita has been retired since he is now 25 feet long.

The Thirdster

Hello world! (and back home),

I am the bff, Jen! The museum is absolutely awesome! It is so wonderful being able to still find places that openly stand up for and promote God’s word and creation! It is a great encouragement, the Creation Museum! Today, I not only met some really great and wonderful people in the garden while volunteering, I also met Ken Ham, walked in the gardens, and had a very nice time doing so. It was a beautiful day and God is so good. My only regrets are that I am now one more day closer to having to leave the museum and my best friend, Noren, and that I am not there at home for my parent’s anniversary.  Happy anniversary Mom and Dad!
